EVE Online reactions calculator

Pick a reaction family and see every formula in it at once - what the inputs cost, what the job costs and what the output is worth at your trade hub.

Reaction families

  • Simple - raw moon materials into intermediate materials, such as Caesarium Cadmide or Titanium Chromide.
  • Complex - intermediate materials into advanced composites for Tech II components, such as Crystalline Carbonide or Fermionic Condensates.
  • Hybrid - fullerite gas from wormholes into polymers for Tech III hulls and subsystems.
  • Biochemical - booster gas into the pure materials that boosters are made from, and Molecular-forged - the newest family.

The Chain column answers a second question: what if the inputs that are themselves reaction products are reacted yourself, one level down, instead of bought?

How the job cost is calculated

The job cost is the estimated item value (EIV) times the sum of the system cost index, the facility tax and the SCC surcharge (4%). The EIV comes from EVE's own adjusted prices of the inputs at their base quantities - material bonuses do not lower it. Pick a system and its live reaction cost index is filled in for you.

Rigs and security

A Reactor Efficiency rig cuts input quantities by 2% (I) or 2.4% (II); in null-sec and wormholes the bonus is multiplied by 1.1. Reactions cannot run in high-sec at all. The structure only changes the time: a Tatara runs reactions 25% faster than an Athanor. To price a whole build, including reactions, use the industry cost calculator.
