EVE Online industry cost calculator

Add one or more items, say where the jobs run, and see what the whole build costs - the components, the jobs and the shopping list - against what the output sells for.

How materials are counted

  • Material efficiency is applied per job, the way the game does it: base quantity × runs × (1 − ME) × structure bonus × rig bonus, rounded to two decimals and then up - and never below one unit per run.
  • Runs per BPC split a product into jobs. Twenty runs from ten-run copies are two jobs, each rounded on its own - the same small loss you see in game.
  • Rigs only work in Upwell structures. An ME rig gives 2% (T1) or 2.4% (T2), multiplied by 1.9 in low-sec and 2.1 in null-sec and wormholes; Raitaru, Azbel and Sotiyo add 1% on top.

What is built and what is bought

Everything with a manufacturing blueprint is built - T1 hulls, components, capital parts. Reaction outputs are built only when you tick Include building reaction outputs; otherwise they are bought like minerals, planetary goods and anything else without a recipe. Components shared by several products are added up before their runs are rounded, and whatever is left over shows up in the build script.

Job cost

Job cost is the estimated item value (base material quantities at CCP's adjusted prices, ME does not lower it) times the system cost index, less the structure's job cost bonus, plus the facility tax and the 4% SCC surcharge. Pick a system to fill in its live cost indices. To see what an item is made of, open its production chain; reactions on their own are ranked in the reactions calculator.
